Storyline output does not work properly on IE8 using Win XP

Hello,

We have done a Storyline course for one of our client but the client is compalining that it is not working properly on IE8. So we tested this on IE8/Win XP using Browserstack and it does not work as expected. However if I run the same course on Windows 7 / IE8 it works properly.

When running on win XP using IE8 we did check if the flash was installed and it did had flash13.Also javascript was enabled but no java installed.

When running on win 7 using IE8 we did check if the flash was installed and it did had flash13.Also javascript was enabled and  java was installed.

My question is why did my course run properly when using Win7/IE8? The only difference was java was present  on this configuration but in case of XP/IE8 no java installed.

Is java a requirement for storyline course to run?

Its hard to believe that no one has ever reported this issue on the forum 

If anyone has dealt  with any such issue please can you provide me some advise ?
