Storyline won't show custom state I created for a character
Hi team!
I am having issues with storyline showing my a custom state that I created for a character within a layer in the slide. There are 2 characters in the layer and they both have 2 states, the normal state, and the custom one I created. For one of them I can see the custom state when I apply the trigger to change the state. But for the second one, not matter what I do, it will not show me the custom state in the dropdown menu when trying to apply a "change state of" trigger. The character definitely has a custom state because I can see in the "states" panel when I select the character, but the option does not show up when trying to apply the trigger.
Has that happened to anyone else and if so were you able to fix it? I am not sure if has anything to do with the fact that this is in a layer rather than the base layer? I wouldn't think that mattered. Anyway, thanks for the help.

I am having the same issue. I have created customer states for characters on my base level slide, but when I go to create a trigger, the custom states do not show up for me to select. You had the same issue. Can you tell me how you fixed that issue?

Would you be willing to upload a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a case so we can see what's going on? We'll delete it as soon as we're done troubleshooting the behavior.

The users who posted here had their issues resolved without our assistance so we don't have any fixes to share. I'll be happy to look at your project file to check why your custom states aren't working properly.
Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!
I'm having the same issue: I have created custom states, but when I want to create a triger and use those custom states, they do not appear in the dowdown list of states I can use for the trigger. I see others had their problem fixed, I wonder how did they do it?
