Tabs, triggers, layers etc

I am new to Storyline and getting in the swing of things. I am having trouble with putting it all together. All tabs start as the normal state. The learner is to click on a tab and have a layer appear with the information (state becomes current tab). When the learner clicks on anything else (like the next tab), the tab's state becomes visited and the clicked on tab becomes the current state and so on. I have not seen what goes where etc. I would appreciate the guidance.

Hi Todd Yunker,
Please take the attached .story file, for the solution you are looking after.
Thanks
Thanks! I appreciate it. Do you like Sci-fi? Check out my book on Amazon Shackleton's Folly. Epic sci-fi adventure.
Say, I applied what was done on the first three tabs to the six others. It seems not to be working altogether stable. Was this me or did I miss something you did?
Hi Todd Yunker,
Please take the attached .story file, before apply the changes we need to check the states for the tabs & also there are triggers left in the layers, which needs to be removed as the triggers are given under the Base layer.
Thanks,
Hi, Todd -- I see that Padmakar has offered some ideas to assist! Please let us know if that will do the trick or if you still need additional assistance. :)
Christie,
He has tried but I am finding that if the tabs are clicked in random order the wrong thing is marked as complete. I am not seeing where I am going wrong here. If you could show me what I am doing wrong i would be appreciative.

Hi, Todd -- Thanks for sharing your file, and I'd actually like to recommend that our Support Engineers take a closer look for you, so I will go ahead and set you up in a case momentarily. A member of that team will be in touch shortly! :)
Hi, Todd -- Your case #00819636 has been received in our system! And, as you mentioned you are new to using SL2, I thought I might also share the following resources in case you wanted to take a look:
Hi Todd Yunker,
When i click the tabs randomly, i don't find any wrong tab marked as complete. The tab which is currently clicked will be in the "Current tab" state, and when we click any other tab it turns to current tab and the previous one will be changed to complete. Which you have posted as a Query.
Thanks,
