The Monty Hall Problem

Sep 06, 2017

Hello, today I thought I'd share a little something I put together in the last few days that was inspired by a video I saw regarding the Monty Hall Problem. If anyone remembers the game show "Let's Make a Deal" then this is your chance to see how lucky you may have been if you had been on the show. Select the image below to try the interaction.

The interaction I've built allows you to pick 1 of 3 panels in the first round to take a shot at choosing a car over a goat. The second round shows you that one of the 2 panels you did not choose is a goat. This leaves you with the choice of keeping your selection or switching to the other remaining hidden panel. The thing I never realized about that game, until this weekend, is that there is a way to increase your chances of getting lucky. And there is a section in this that explains how to increase your odds. So try your luck!

This also gives you statistical info on how may you have gotten right or wrong, how many times you've played and what percentage you've gotten correct. A copy of the story file is attached. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Enjoy!
