Time saving feature for adaptive learning

Mar 04, 2024

I am creating a course whereby the learner can answer a couple of questions, and if they answer them correctly, they have the option to then skip that part of the course that the question relates to. There are probably about 6 instances where this will happen throughout the course.

My question is therefore, is there a way of then calculating the amount of time the learner has gained by skipping those parts of the course? I want to be able to say at the end of the course, you completed the course quicker as you skipped sections x, y, and z, saving you x amount of minutes.

I don't want to have to calculate the timelines individually - we also build with multiple layers due to translation reasons, and those layers will mostly have narration on also. I know about the course duration feature when you click publish, but I believe that doesn't take the layers into account.

Any help is greatly received!

Ah, I was hoping that wasn't going to be the case!! Do you know if there is a way of finding out which sections got skipped? So maybe the learner only chose to skip 2 sections, out of a possible 6...is there a way to know how many sections were skipped? And then another way to know what sections were skipped?
