Timeline Trigger not working once published to video

May 21, 2020

Hi Everyone, I have a very short explainer course that involves a video that I want to show for the entire length of my timeline since I will be review what the software labels mean prior to it playing. At a specific cue point I want the video to start playing so I added a trigger "play video when timeline reaches cue point #4." This works perfectly in preview but once I publish to video the media plays for the entire duration instead of just at that cue point. Under video options it does say that the video plays according to a trigger (not at the start), I've attached a screen shot if that helps since I can't share the file on the forum.

Hi Jacqueline,

Thank you for reaching out!

To make sure I am on the same page, when the timeline reaches cue point 4 is the video supposed to continue playing or pause?

Hi Vincent, the video is supposed to start playing at cue point 4 (so the trigger is for the media to play at cue point 4 instead of at the beginning of the timeline).

I actually ended up submitting a ticket and they determined it is a bug. The only really work around seems to be to use a screen shot of the video and shorten the length of the actual media file in the timeline so it begins at cue point 4 rather than using a trigger.
