Timing in Storyline to get the feel of motion

Mar 06, 2014

Hi. I was wondering if anyone out there has some tips on timing elements in a project so that you have fluid movement between slides and/or layers. I've seen some truly impressive examples (one of my favorites is Tim Slade's flat design template: http://community.articulate.com/downloads/p/212778.aspx ). I am working on a project for which I'd like to show movement between slides my timing just seems to be a little bit off so the movement is choppy.

I am guessing that it is a matter of trial and error but if anyone has any tips they would care to share -- excellent.

Thanks - Adena

Adena - I reviewed the template file and it appears Tim is making a copy of the previous slide on the subsequent slide that is only visible for a few seconds. This is what is most likely allowing the transitions to move so fluidly from one slide to another. If you have not already done so, download the template you mentioned and view the timeline closely.

I really like how that one flows and will have to use that in the future.
