trigger on animation help
Jan 15, 2015
Is there a way to place a trigger on an animation?
I have an image of an eraser on a chalkboard, and when I move that image to the right on top of my text, I want my text to "wipe" to the right so it looks like the text is being erased. I have a Done button with a trigger on it so when its clicked, the motion of the eraser begins.
If I can't add a trigger to an animation, can I add a trigger to the same Done button so the text wipes to the right?
Thanks! Debbie

Hello Debbie!
You can use a trigger to make something happen when an animation completes, however starting a new animation is not one of the Action options. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but one thing you could do is add the text with the wipe animation on a new layer, then have that layer appear when the motion animation of the eraser completes. You would also have to make the text on the base layer change to a hidden state. I am sure others can chime in with ideas as well.
Thank you! I'll give it a try.
