Trouble with the submit button? I think?
Jan 05, 2017
I have three different courses that students have tested and have noticed that at the same spot some people will not be able to click on the submit button to move forward in the course. This does not always happen and if they close out of the course and start over they can usually get it to work correctly. Which is not exactly optimal. I can't figure out what the issue is and my LMS isn't noticing anything that would be on their end to cause this issue. Can anyone suggesting something I might be missing? I have attached the three storyline files at the point where this issue happens.

I can't get the storyline files to upload it these something else I can do?
Hey Melissa
are you using the inbuilt SL buttons or custom navigation?
Custom submit buttons
Hi Melissa
without seeing the file hard to say - but check there isn't an object partially covering the submit button that maybe causing the issue. Not everyone clicks the centre of a button, so if there is something slightly overlaying a corner or something it might affect it. Move the submit button to the top of the timeline and see if that works.
I'll have to look at that, Thank you I would have never thought about that.
Good Morning,
Wendy I did what you suggested and moved the submit button to the top of the time, but we are still getting the same issue with the submit button not working. Is there a way or a different form I can submit to up the issue and have someone look at the file? I cannot get this site to upload my storyline file on this page.
Good Morning Melissa- So sorry this is happening! I'd recommend sharing your project files directly with our Support Engineers over here so that they can work with you to investigate the issue further.
Thank you. I submitted a case but was unable to attach my storyline file for review. I hope there is another way to get you the file needed for review.
Hey Melissa- Sorry for the frustration! What browser are you using? Do you have access to another browser you could try? If so, try a different browser and use the Add Attachment feature in the reply window here in the thread to attach your file in a comment. I'd be more than happy to upload it to your case if you share your case number here as well.
If you're still having trouble in a different browser, are you perhaps using a company computer with firewall that could be blocking the upload process?
Thanks Ali
looks like another browser did the trick. my case # is 00989341
Thank you so much
Also this is just one of the three scenarios that we are experience the issue with.
Great Melissa! I've located your case (#00989341 for my reference) and it looks like your .story file was successfully received and attached there as well now! I'll be sure to keep an eye on it and relay any relevant details here for anyone else who may be following along. :)
Whoops- looks like our replies crossed here! Sorry about that. I've also made a comment on your case with the link to this thread so all points of input are now connected. Our Engineers will be reaching out to you shortly- you're in great hands! They're rockstars :)
