I have a custom dial that I have created. I want to copy that dial and paste it onto the next slide - then remove the dial function. How do I remove the dial function from an existing dial? How do I un-dial an image?
Is the image you used for the dial in your media library? If yes, you could right-click and either select Show in Media Library, or right-click the image and select export Picture and then reimport the epic on the next slide. One quick and dirty option to "un-dial": simply place a transparent object over the copied dial so that the user can't interact with it anymore.
Be aware that dials and sliders are keyboard accessible. Even if you block them from being clicked on by overlaying them with a transparent shape, the user can still press the TAB key on their keyboard to navigate to the dial/slider and then use the arrow keys on the keyboard to control them.
If you don't want the dial/slider keyboard accessible, use the Focus Order feature to remove them from the list of accessible objects on the slide; that way, the user can't interact with them using the keyboard.
OK, thanks Steve for the tip.I don't think any of my users know that they are keyboard-accessible (I did not know that until you pointed it out 😂), but I will have a look into thos Focos Order thingy.

Transparent object = Nice! That is the solution I was looking for. Thanks!
Bingo! Thanks. That was exactly what I was looking for.
