Thanks for stopping by and sharing what you're experiencing — You've come to the right place for help!
I'm sure this is frustrating, so let's jump into a couple of reasons why this might be happening and tips you can try:
Possible object/slide corruption — Are you able to preview this project? A glance at previous reports of this error suggests object/slide corruption. Previewing the project will allow you to narrow it down to the problematic slide and/or object to get this corrected.
Not working locally — Working on a network drive or an external USB drive could prevent you from saving changes. Saving locally is best. 😁
It happened to me today and I lost some work. Have we identified the cause? Is it safe to copy-pasting from other projects with video, or will that break Storyline again...?
I'm so sorry for the trouble! The original post was about not being able to save work. Are you finding that you aren't able to save your work, or is Storyline crashing?
Are you saving locally, as Becca shared above? As long as both projects are saved locally, it's safe to copy and paste from one project to another.
If you'd like to upload your .story file for us to test, you can either attach it to this discussion or upload it privately using a support case.
