Unwanted triggers keep reappearing
Mar 18, 2014
Hi all,
I am working on a Storyline course and I want to force the learners to advance through each question by clicking the Next button for tracking purposes. There is a trigger which automatically advances the learners to the next question when the timeline ends that keeps appearing in my questions. I keep deleting it, but every time I come back to modify a question, the trigger reappears. The trigger is not on my template, so I can't figure out where it is coming from. Any thoughts on how to permanently remove this trigger?
Thanks.

Hi Christy and welcome to Heroes!
Have you looked at the slide properties to see if it's set up to advance automatically or by user? If it's set to advance by user and this trigger is still happening I'd also suggest checking to ensure you're working with all local project files as described here. You may also want to try importing the Storyline project into a new project file to see if it resolves the behavior.
If after checking into those two options you're still experiencing the behavior can you share the Storyline file here with us?
Hi,
I'm having the same problem.
Two unwanted triggers appear in the Correct/incorrect feedback layers every time I edit a question.
Any answer yet? I see from previous posts this problem has been around for a couple of 'years'?

Hi Mark,
It sounds like this is related to an issue we're currently investigating. The issue appears to be that the triggers for feedback layers will reappear when any changes are made to the question itself.
I've added this thread to the current report, so we can share an update here when we have more information.
I apologize for the trouble. Hopefully we'll have more information on this soon!
Thanks!
