How do I upload an unpublished course to my profile so that I can work on it at home when I'm away from our work server? I know this is possible, because people are always kindly sharing their downloads on the forums. Any help is appreciated. I'm sure it's obvious, but I've never done it before. Thank you!
It sounds like you need a place to save your Storyline project so you can work on it from home. Sharing it on your E-Learning Heroes profile may not be the best option, since your profile is public and anyone would have access to your project. Here are some safer alternatives!
Save it to a flash drive at work, then insert the flash drive into your home computer.
Save it to your Google Drive account, and access your account from home.
Email the file to yourself.
Whichever option you choose, be sure to save the file to your home computer's local hard drive (C: drive) before opening it. This will ensure it works smoothly without any interruptions from a network drive.
If you have a teams account, you could save the project in the shared teams folder and then access it from there, as well. I do that when I go to workshops.
Those are all great ideas...unfortunately, I work at a financial institution and everything is locked down-no flash drives, no Google drive, and no emailing to my personal account. They make it pretty tricky. Thanks for giving it a shot.
I hadn't thought of that. I do have a teams account, but I don't see where I can create a folder. Do you have a link with more information about that? Also, FYI I really enjoy reading your blog!

Here's a quick tutorial. It works well and in a sense you could have some version control with how you save the files by name.
Great, thank you!
