I'm trying to use JavaScript to change the HTML background color, but I have had no luck. I am a bit of a JS newbie and any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Are you testing locally (on your harddrive)? In that case, the script is likely blocked by your browser's security settings. Try uploading to some server and test again.
Hey Lorenz - JavaScript triggers are supported in Flash and HTML5 published output and you can read about our best practices here, although we do not provide support for JavaScript coding. Hopefully someone in the community will be able to pop in and assist you here. Not sure if Michael is still subscribed either, so I wanted to mention that you are welcome to reach out to users directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if needed.

See here, under 'Change HTML background color'
I've tried using that, but for whatever reason it's not working.
I tried copying the provided code directly into Storyline's Execute JavaScript trigger. Is there anything else I need to add?
Hm, this works for me, see below

Hi, Ian -
Just a little more info on what Michael said about needing to upload to a server and test again can be found here.
Does the script work in html5?
Thank you
