Hi all! I have a storyline course that i have written that involves a multiple choice quiz drawn from a question bank. A couple of the questions have tripped learners up as they have more than one answer. I would like to create a trigger so that a layer appears when the learner only enters one response prompting them that they need to choose more than one response. What is the best way to do this?
Whilst I agree that it is a good idea to provide a prompt advising the user that there are more than one correct options, I would personally avoid the use of triggers on an MRQ as I feel this creates unnecessary work.
The simplest way I have found to provide a prompt is to include it on screen after the question text. For example: "Select two options from the list below and then click on submit."
If you really want to have this prompt on a layer, I'm sure it can be achieved and I'm sure myself or someone else will be able to provide an example.
For tracking whether only 1 option is selected, I have used a number variable for each option. Then I am adding all the 4 variables. If the value is 1, Incomplete layer is shown. Check the output here.

Hi Kristy

The .story file is attached.
