Using Webobjects and Javascript with Storyline - help needed

Hi all

I have been playing with some jquery flip libraries, using the code here https://nnattawat.github.io/flip/

I have worked out how to add a variable to the html and pass a score to this via a button and then have storyline pick this up using the excellent guide here http://blog.kawstov.com/passing-values-from-html-to-storyline/

However I cant work out how to get the flip.down to pass a value when clicked can anyone help please?
