Video Controls when Embedding a Video

I'm sure that I was able to turn on Video Controls for embedded videos from YouTube and Vimeo but now the Video Controls option is greyed out for embedded videos. Is this a recent change?
In addition I was regularly using the web object to insert YouTube videos as the YouTube embed stopped working some years ago. This appears to be fixed now but when I view a web published version locally it appears to have been converted to a web object. Would be good to know what is actually happening.

Hey John,
You should be able to add the video controls via the optional parameters for YouTube.
As for what you are seeing when viewing locally, I am unable to recreate that behavior.
My embed code remains for my video from website and my web object looks as expected.
Are you using Storyline 360 or another version? If you have a .story file that you'd like us to take a look at, please feel free to share.
I'm using Storyline 360. I'm using 'Video from Website' not 'Web Object' (but it appears to end up as a web object when I publish but I only know that because it initially shows this in the published version). I've made a Peek so you can see the behaviour.

If I turn on video controls in the YouTube embed code then I get the YouTube control bar including a useful full screen option which I'd probably use rather than the Storyline inserted video controls but before I make that switch I'd like to know what's happening.
Hi John,
When you're linking a video from a website, you won't have the option to enable "Show Video Controls" (you'll see this noted in the tutorial here). Since you're using Youtube, I'd suggest enabling their video controls and if you'd prefer to have the Storyline ones you'll want to download the video and insert that file directly.
Also, since the video is linked from the website, you'll need to test the content on your Web server or LMS to access the video as it won't playback from the local publish (the same with preview).
Thanks Ashley....I'm sure that option used to work with embedded videos before. But not a problem. Now that the YouTube embed is working I will use the YouTube controls which also provide a full screen option (which we weren't able to do before unless we used the Web Object method).
