If I but a countdown delay at the start of the course, to allow downloading of videos within the entire course, do you think this might help?

just to let you know when you reply via email your email signature and associated information is displayed in the forum - so you can come in and edit and delete if you want to.
I guess it depends where in your course the videos are - according to the KB article below this is how assets are loaded. In the post I linked to above, someone was adding in a few blank slides with short timelines with jump to triggers to giive assets time to load...maybe that would work.
