Previously, whenever a web object video from our LMS was inserted, Storyline 360 automatically matched the timeline of the slide layer to the length of the video. I made no changes to the file for these videos - only some updates on other slides. If I go back to a version created 2 months ago, the videos play fine, with the slide timeline in sync with the external video timeline. Same slide & video, no changes made. I've updated to the latest product version but that did not help. Has anyone else experienced this issue and hopefully found a resolution?
there is no method* for storyline to know the length of a video from a extern video platform
update the timeline length for sync video has to be done manually (if the video is later updated on the video platform and the length changes, storyline must be updated)
* to do this, you would have to use the website's JavaScript API to query the length when the video is loaded - this API is different for the different platforms (Youtube, Vimeo, ...)
