When emailing a link to a story using Storyline 2, music animations and slides all work, but the video slides don't work. If the user physically navigates to the presentation, it does work...ideas?
Welcome to the community! Are you testing the published output in its intended environment? Testing the file on a local computer can cause issue due to security settings. You can look here for options on how to publish and share the files.
Yes, we've tested in the local environment fine, and if users navigate to the location on the network drive, it works ok. The issue arises when the user clicks the link to the network location in an email, then the videos don't play.
With the .story files themselves, you want to make sure you do not work on a network drive. you will want to work locally only. And for the published output, you will want to use one of the recommendations above, as viewing off the local drive can cause security issues.
Also, when you reply via email, your email signature will appear in this post. you can go in and edit your post to remove this.
