I did what you show me on your story, and it worked. But, the initial state, which is grey, is not appearing, it already goes to another color that I had programmed to show only if the variable changes.
I usually set my variable to an initial value of False, then when the section is visited, it is set to True.
Your variables have an initial value of True, which is OK, if that is what you want, or need them to do. In that case, this trigger needs to be set to change the state if the variable is NOT equal to True.
