Web Object Won't Fit Player

Mar 21, 2014

I'm working on a project and attempting to size an HTML 5 web object simulation  published via Captivate to Storyline. I want the web object to fit the Storyline player window. The object has been resized to 640 X 480. The Storyline web object viewer is 640 X 480. Hypothetically this HTML 5 object should fit in the screen. The video as you can see is not fitting the window. The file is attached and hosted http://www.devontest.com/OPR/story.html

Michael,

I edited the code. It still is not rendering sized within the object. Could you take a look again?

It appears that Captivate is publishing the HTML 5 correctly and then once I drop it into Storyline the web object is getting published with new HTML code throwing the size off.

Thanks!

Hi Philip, could you upload the published CP file separately to some server and post the URL here, so that we can have a look?

Have a look at this test with your file: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl71_SL/CPHTML5/V1/story.html. This works for me on an iPad and HTML5-compatible browsers, e.g. Chrome (never mind the positioning of the CP file inside the Storyline web object).

I remembered (vaguely) there was some issue with the Scalable HTML content option in Captivate's HTML5 output, so I republished your file with this option turned off.

Ok. I republished the Captivate with the Scalable HTML content option unchecked and am I'm still getting an issue. What am I missing here?

Thank you for your help. I'm developing a large amount of 100+ slide software simulations and the screen record option in Storyline keeps crashing from the sheer size of the files. My workaround is Captivate if I can get this HTML 5 sized correctly.
