I have been trying to figure what the easiest and most efficient way to showcase my work to my potential employers is. Most of the interviewers request digital samples. Can I have some suggestions?
If you're in need of non-proprietary samples to use in your portfolio I'd strongly suggest creating a few pieces in answer to the weekly challenges. I've added lots of them to my portfolio and they certainly grab attention, no doubt because they are easier and quicker to view than an entire course, plus they really help you show off your skills. The challenges come out each Friday and you'll find them right here: http://community.articulate.com/blogs/david/
Thank you Jackie and Ted. I was wondering if websites enable interactivity but they obviously do. I was planning to use Wordpress, so I guess it is going to work similarly. So you uploaded your elearning module right into Wix and unpacked it there?
Just be sure whatever online solution you use gives you the ability to upload your work so you've got it on the same site as your blog. (A blog is a massively useful tool in being able to showcase, describe, share, and promote your work.)
IF you were to go with WordPress (which I love), just be sure you start it on a host and use WordPress.org. Do NOT start it on wordpress.com because there's no opportunity to house your samples there. This is my recent story of moving from one to the other, and it was waaaaay too much unnecessary work: http://www.jackievannice.com/?p=175063171
Also, in this thread you'll get a lot of excellent advice from your fellow e-learning heroes about the hosts that have worked well for them. If I had it to do all over again I'd choose one of their highly-recommended hosts: http://community.articulate.com/forums/t/48611.aspx?PageIndex=1
Best of luck! You'll be so happy once you've got your own online showcase.
Thanks Jackie, good to know about Wordpress. I have started designing my portfolio in Wordpress.com :( It seems that I should be starting over.... but yes, I will be thrilled when I can finely just send somebody a link and they can see what I do.

Hi Olivia!
For me, the online portfolio is the best way to go. You can see what other community members' online portfolios look like right here: http://community.articulate.com/forums/t/45112.aspx

Does that help at all?
Jackie
Hi Olivia-
I went with a simple site that I built on the WIX platform, it is super easy and you have your own site that you can promote-
this is what I did in about 10 hours...
www.tedgreenfield.com
try WIX com
Looks great, Ted!
Does WIX give you server space to house your e-learning samples?
