What is the full list of animations available in Storyline 2?
Aug 07, 2015
I have searched the web looking for answers, but I cannot find a list of the animations that are available in Storyline 2. I am trying to put together a business case to move from Storyline 1 to Storyline 2, but I want specifics that can be itemized.
Knowing that there are limitations between the capabilities of PowerPoint 2010 and Storyline 1, my team and I have limited our use of animations to the few which are cr0ss-compatible. We must develop in PowerPoint because the application is standard issue to all employees where I work. Our module content needs to be shared and leveraged with other teams.
I have already read the article "Comparing Articulate Storyline 1 and Articulate Storyline 2", but it only lists the total number of animations. Nowhere can I delve deeper and find out which ones those are.
I was lucky to find a few pictures online of the slide transitions gallery and the motion paths drop down list, however the list of animations has been elusive.
Can someone provide a typed list (in display order) or provide a screen capture or point me to another resource with the information that I am searching for?
Please see my attachment for an example of what I am trying to accomplish.

I'm not sure if this helps at all, but here are screenshots of the Animation and Motion Path options in SL2.

Oops looks like Michael beat me to it! :)
Hi Michael
if you click the animations tab in SL2 it shows you all the animation types entrance and exit - you could screen dump that
Actually Jackson, your screen shots were the type I was looking for. I am happy that they ended up in my Inbox. I will be able to update my list from the labels that are displayed.
Now, I can see which ones are new AND transferrable from PowerPoint. Thank you very much.
Hello Wendy,
Can you clarify to whom you are directing your instructions? Is it Michael or Michel? I have had too many instances in my life when people use the English variant of my name in online discussions.
Absolutely my mistake Michel, it was you and I apologise - I am in Australia and it was very early in the morning...hope you found the information you were looking for.
Great screenshots, Michael, and I am glad to hear that you received the assistance you were looking for, Michel! :)
