When I publish my project to video, there are loading animation between some of the slides in the project. May I know what causes it and how to remove them.
It's been a long time since I used storyline and I don't remember having this issue before.
Hmm. Perhaps the program is taking some time to load slides with a lot of content. For example, if a slide includes a long video, that could cause a delay.
There could also be a delay if the .story file is not on your hard drive when you're publishing it.
Articulate's standard advice: always work with the .story file on your hard drive. If you work over a network, even a minor interruption could corrupt the file.
I noticed that you've also opened a support case and connected with my teammate Luiza. Great move! It looks like Luiza shared this behavior is related to a known bug we are tracking. I've included you in the bug report so you can be notified as soon as a fix is in place.
Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
I'm having a similar problem. Things are fine when I preview my project, but when I watch it in Review there is a flash to black/grey between slides. I presume this is a split-second loading screen. It means my screen recordings (step-by-step slides in view mode mostly) don't play seamlessly.
Is this due to the bug you mentioned above, Steven, or is there something I can do?
Sorry that you're running into something similar! The bug that Steven mentioned is related to text-to-speech and animations on a slide. It would be helpful to see your .story file to see if screen recordings are also impacted by this bug. Could you share it with us privately in a support case?
Hi Carol, when I tested mine again a couple of days later, the loading 'flashes' were gone (on both Mac and PC) . I had submitted a support case in the meantime and someone was very quick to get back to me, so if your problem continues I recommend submitting a case. Good luck!
I'm happy to chime in. I'd like to confirm what Charlie shared regarding the support case. The published output from my colleague Ian worked. It looks like running these steps to repair Storyline and fix installation issues may help. Please try that on your end and republish the project.
If the problem persists, could I have you connect with us in a case so we can determine what's happening? We'll reach out soon after we hear from you!

It sounds like some of the slides have transitions (that is, animations between slides).
To remove all slide transitions, do this:
I checked and there's no slide transitions. There are 3 small white dots appearing between slides.

If that's not the problem, I suggest you contact support. You can do that here: https://access.articulate.com/support/contact

Thanks Lauren, I've just submitted a case.
Has this problem been solved? I am seeing the same gray flashing between slides after I publish (but not in Preview). Thanks!
