"When" Requirement Limitations

Mar 25, 2016

Is there anyway to get around the fact that event triggers always require a "when" condition?

I find that on many occasions I want something to trigger solely based on variables being of a certain value, but the "when" requirement impedes this. In other words, what I'm really looking for is "fire this event trigger WHEN variables one, two, && three = True.

Is their anyway around this that anyone is aware of?

Thanks for any responses.

Matthew,

Maybe I misunderstand, but I don't think you want a trigger to fire all the time variables 1, 2, & 3 are equal to True. I think you want it to fire when a slide starts, or IF they are equal to True, or maybe, once when the third one changes to True (if they weren't all True before).

In that case the When slide starts, or When variable changes are exactly what you want.

Explain if I'm missing something, but it seems to me that the alternative to a trigger firing on the occurrence of a certain action, would be a constant firing of the trigger. This would hold true even if that action is nothing more than a variable changing its state.
