Where/ how to have tutorials on a website

Jun 26, 2014

Apologies if this has come up before- I'm new to Storyline (and Articulate in general!).

I work in a higher education institution and have started using the tutorials to teach myself how to create content with Storyline. I've run into an issue with our IT department- they want to know about hosting, publshing, compatibility etc.

I've had a look through the forums and can see that Storyline can publish for HTML5 and iPad. However, as I am not even a little bit of a techie,  :(  I just wanted to clarify something in the following section-

What do I do with my files once I've published?

Now that you've published, it's time to move your web-ready course to your website or server, give it a test run, and then send your users a link to the story.html file so they can access your course.

Our system is Microsoft Sharepoint, so when 'moving a web-ready course to your website or server', does that translate to uploading the file to the portal, linking to it from the correct page and then publishing it from there?

I hope that makes sense- any thoughts/ advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Aoife and welcome to the  Heroes community!

A number of users here utilized Sharepoint, and I found an older thread with a lot of discussion on  how to load it up there.

You'll also want to make sure that the users will be able to utilize one of the browsers and flash versions mentioned in this article and likely the majority of your users will view the Flash version (don't need to make any special choices about that while publishing).

Hope that helps!
