Which way to publish?

Feb 11, 2015

I am about to publish a course for a client and was planning on html for a webserver as I thought that was the only way to share amongst a large number of users. However, can it be published as CD rom and put on the company server? I was confused by the tutorial which tells you to first publish to a local hard drive, but then talks about uploading to a network which I always thought you couldn't do. The course will not be used within an LMS.

Hi Lynn,

You'll always want to publish the file to a local drive and file path - but once it's published, you'll than be able to upload for it's intended environment. If you publish for CD, you'll still publish to a local drive - but than you can share the entire contents of the published output folder with your users to access the course. I'd recommend that they download it to their local drive to play, just in case there are any network/server restrictions.
