White bars in published file

Hi! 

I have made a custom carousel in Storyline. The course player has been turned off, no problem. When I preview the project it looks great. But when I view the published html files, there are strange, uneven white bars around the project (please see attached image).

I have added custom styling to the index file to try to fix this, but it hasn't worked: 

<style>html,body{background:#FFFFFF; margin: 0 0 0 0; overflow:hidden;}</style>

I even uploaded the project online, went into Captivate and linked the Storyline project as a web object, and tried to cut the white bars off by moving the web object to hang off the canvas. This didn't work either!

Any ideas?
