We just distributed one of our first Storyline created courses at our company; a constant struggle we encounter is having learners located in low bandwidth areas of the country, with very limited internet connectivity. Also, the devices being used to access our LMS are dated.
Would anyone be able to tell me if using the lowest possible publish quality could help alleviate some issues our users are having? (i.e. course launches, next button can be pushed down, but project doesn't advance past the first slide)
Downgrading the quality could help, so could limiting some of the content (depending on what you're using). Are you using any videos in the courses? The reason I ask is because this can add a bit to the file size. The less the users have to download (or that the browser has to buffer) the faster it will work and the better performance you'll see on a low speed internet connection.
It's actually a fairly basic course. No videos. Has audio narration, and only three interactions. The rest of just animated on screen text and images. Only about 14 slides in length (with three interaction slides with layers)
