Mar 29, 2013

I have a problem with articulate storyline. For the second time in one month appeared the following alert message: you do not have enough disk space and can not be saved because the memory is full. In fact the memory is not fullConsequently, the recent changes made to the project are not saved. Someone can please explain why?

Thank you very much

Hi Rosy and Alessandro,

Can you both confirm you're running the most recent version of Storyline, please?

To find this information, click on "Help" and "About Articulate Storyline". If you're not currently running version 2 (1212.1412), please download and install Update 2 from the link below:

Articulate - Download Storyline Update 2

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!

Good morning Rosy,

Just to confirm, you're both running the update and still experiencing this problem, correct?

If so, please try to make sure that you're working with local files.

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.

Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.

Also, try to make sure that you're not running to may programs in the background. If you run Storyline on its own, with no other programs running, do you see the same error?

Thanks!

Hello Daile,

This conversation is a bit dated, but I'd be glad to help you out.

It looks like you are using Storyline 3.

  • Does your system meet the requirements listed in this documentation?
  • How large is the file that you are currently working on?
  • Does this happen with any file or just this specific one?

If you'd like to work with a support engineer, then with your permission, please share your project file. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.

I am facing the same issue installing Storyline 360. I've deleted files to make more than enough disk space, still receiving "install failed" message. I've tried all versions with no luck - this has been going on more than a week and has costed me countless hours. I'm not sure what to do, support is taking forever to get to me and we're at a thread of 14 messages no success.
