Adding a video

Jun 13, 2019

I would like to add 4 videos to a slide that will play when a learner rolls over an icon.  How do I do that?  Is that a layer.  I am  a newby to Articulate.  Thank you.

Hi Lawrence,

You could achieve this by placing each video on its own layer and showing the relevant layer when the mouse hovers over the appropriate icon.

You could then hide the layer once the media completes or have a button that hides it if you wish to have the option to stop part way through the video.

Once the layer is hidden, you will then be able to hover over another icon to view another video.

If you only want the video to cover part of the screen such that your icons are still visible, it may require a bit more work with variables to ensure users can't accidentally start a second video before the first one finishes or is stopped.

However, the basic setup will remain the same (i.e. a base layer, which includes your icons and a separate layer for each video).

If you need further assistance, just shout out.
