Is there a way to adjust the timing on slides to less than five seconds. I tried adjusting it on the timeline, but I couldnt get it to go less than 5 seconds.
You can drag the slider to a shorter time. Do you want the slide to advance automatically at? You can do that at the end by changing the player trigger to Jump to next slide when the timeline ends on an object.
Do you have any grouped items on your timeline? If so, check and see if they look like this (below) when you expand the grouped item in the timeline...
As you can see, Rectangle 1 is "shorter" than Rectangle 2. This can sometimes prevent you from shortening your timeline. Also, any audio you have on the timeline will prevent you from shortening it.
