Anyone build courses using Storyline for ecommerce?

Feb 28, 2013

I'm wondering if anyone has built courses using Articulate Storyline and then sold them?

We are trying to evaluate which course authoring software to use for building our courses. Courses primarily prep students for standardized tests.

Experiences? Thoughts?

Hi Gord and welcome to the Heroes Community

Yes

I have one course that went on sale yesterday, one where we are looking at commercials, one multi-course curriculum where we are doing the POC now, and one course/set of courses (for post-grads) where we are building the POC.

I think having saleable content is much more important that the production tool itself.

Once again - a warm welcome to the forums.

I have produced lots of courses in storyline that are for sale but I'm not really sure what difference the tool makes.

Nancy, the biggest question I have now is whether I can password protect my course while being accessed by clients on mobile devices like iPads and iPhones. We will be offering  Subscription based courses with a heavy emphasis on a test bank.

What platform/LMS will you use to deliver and track the e-learning with? Doesn't that offer a level of access management?

Paul, this is fairly new to me. I was aware that the LMS will offer some protection . But  there were some concerns about mobile devices. The articulate player for iPad for example utilizes web material that supposedly cannot be password protected. I'm still researching LMS options.
