Hi, I've got Articulate '09 on my laptop, and used to have it on a desktop too as part of my single licence. The desktop has since been completely wiped and redistributed, but I want to be able to utilise that second computer. Is there any way I can reuse the other licence if the IT dept didn't uninstall it whilst online like we were supposed to?
I'd like to know how an Articulate licence works with a reinstalled OS. I have a habit of wiping and reinstalling my Windows operating system every 6-8 months. I find my laptop just slows down eventually to a point that I get frustrated and nothing really seems to help. I've been doing this for about 7 years now. I've got it down to a science and it only takes me about an hour and a half now. Creating disk images does not suffice because I'm always tweaking my install so I add and remove programs in every cycle etc.
The point is, how do I handle Articulate. If I buy the licence and in a few months wipe my HD, what does that do to my Articulate installation? Can I reinstall it without a problem or do I have to notify the Articulate support team? Doing so does not really bother me I would just like to know for certain so i can write it into my super extensive and detailed Windows installation instructions .
Just uninstall Articulate before you wipe your HD and then reinstall after with your SN. No need to notify anyone. All taken care of behind the scenes.
Now how much do you want to bet I'm going to forget this (despite having written it down) and I'll be back in this forum in a few months wondering what to do after I've wiped my HD .
We recently had an issue crop up at our workplace around the registration of licenses. Even though they are corporately purchased and owned at our workplace they were being registered in the names of the individuals using them. As we recently became aware the EULA does not allow for the transfer of licenses. This is important to know because it means that if that employee or contractor who registered the software moves on to a different department or company the license technically is not transferable. Articulate will allow a transfer, with an application for special support case exception. In our particular instance, we have 16 Storyline license keys and 32 Storyline 2, with employees and contractors constantly moving in and out of departments (10,000+ employees). I would strongly suggest registering the products by organization and department to allow for transferability internally while still respecting the Articulate EULA.

Oh, it's only me that's using it by the way, I know that if anyone else was, we'd have to purchase a new licence.

Send Articulate support an e-mail with your serial number(s) and they'll set it up so you can install the software on a second PC again.

Perfect. Thanks a million.

Hello Allain!
Looks like you have been in contact with our sales team directly.
The EULA is for individual use and not departments. If you have further questions, I'd continue working directly with our team here.
I do not want to misinform the community.
