Do you have a model for elearning modalities?

I'm seeking a model that categorizes elearning into modalities based on the assumptions that:

• the model covers only formal elearning, not informal.
• each modality in the model is discrete from the others.
• combined, all the modalities comprise all types of formal elearning.

I teach a class on elearning instructional design at a local university and present a model for evaluating which modality (or modalities) to use in a new curriculum. But with emerging tools and tactics in elearning, the model is no longer as robust as it used to be. So I'm seeking a new model I can use. Here is the one I've been using.
