How to get an MCQ to report to Moodle in a specific way
Nov 27, 2015
Hi,
I just have a question regarding MCQ assessment and reporting to Moodle.
As part of a project I'm working on, different questions will have different weights applied to the answer. So for example (I'm using hypotheical values here), for Question A if it's wrong it's 1 and if right it's 0; for Question B if it's wrong it's 2 (not 1) and if it's right it's 0. This is because the questions relate to a process which is being assessed by seeing what is being done incorrectly - if everything is right the best score is 0. The questions relate to a specific step in that process and some steps are more important than others, hence the need for different weight (or someway to differentiate between the questions). Essentially if the step related to Question A and if the step related to Question B are not done (or not answered correctly in this case), it's more wrong to get Question B incorrect than Question A.
I know I can assign different values within storyline but in Moodle that answers is simply right or wrong with 0 or 1 applied to the answer.
Does anyone know a way to do this or a way around it?
Thank you,
Simon
