Imported PP slides with videos are not playing

Jul 30, 2019

Has anyone had any problem, after importing a PP presentation with several slides containing video links, making the links work once the file was imported into Storyline 3? I have approximately a dozen slides with video links which I need to have a "play" button accessible to those who have to watch this presentation. So far, the instructional videos I'm seeing do not address imported video clips.

Hi Shaffer,

If I am understanding your question properly, you’ll likely need to insert those videos manually from the Insert tab...assuming you’re using Storyline.

It might help if you can clarify if you’re using Storyline or Studio. Also, it might help to understand if the videos are actually embedded in the PowerPoint file OR being linked to from the internet. It’s not 100% clear what you might mean when you say “video links.”

I hope that all makes sense!

Thanks, yes I am using Storyline 3. The links were embedded into the PowerPoint slides which imported over to the Storyline platform.

There has been a problem with the imported file which Joshua has been working on there in your support department. A majority of slides imported over in a format which "altered" the format of most of the project. At this point, the last note I received from Joshua was that the larger problem has not yet been resolved.

However, for this issue with the video link, in as much as it impacts only a few slides, is a separate issue.
