Looking for an eLearning rock star! Signature Healthcare is a long-term healthcare provider that is committed to providing an environment of wellness, healing, and independence for its residents. We have an opening for an eLearning Developer - strong in graphic design, instructional design and experienced with eLearning authoring software. This position is located in our Louisville, KY headquarters office.

Summary:

Responsible for developing, delivering, evaluating and maintaining learning content, tools, systems, and programs that support our employee’s ability to achieve their goals and ensure our compliance with legal and government requirements. Accomplished via a wide range of methodologies, delivery mechanisms and formats to meet specific business needs. Direct experience with taking a leadership role in working with Subject Matter Experts is important, as well as being able to function independently and as a member of a team.

Environment:

Work will be performed primarily indoors and on carpeted and/or tiled floors. Work will also be performed routinely around other co-workers, healthcare staff, and guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Meet physical and sensory requirements stated below, and be able to work in the described environment.

· Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment.

· Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of adult learning theories and concepts, instructional design theory and methods, employ various instructional methods and delivery options, measurement and evaluation theory and methods, as well as, leverage various software tools used in instructional design.

· Translate subject matter expertise into instructional content by writing textual descriptions, creating or planning for the creation of appropriate illustrations, and developing innovative ways to impart complex concepts to various audiences, through effectively leveraging media.

· Facilitate training sessions, both in person and via Webinar, streaming video or other means.

· Apply the ISD (ADDIE) model for adult learners.

· Responsible for writing skills standards and performance objectives.

· Develop and maintain basic needs analysis.

· Write lesson plans and media specifications.

· Design and develop learning for classroom and Computer-Based Training/Web environments using rapid cycle development.

· Develop instructor guides, student manuals, workbooks, and related materials.

· Develop training delivered through video, PowerPoint, and other digital media.

· Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Training & Development, Organizational Development or related field preferred or equivalent discipline and/or training.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with standard curriculum development tools, including but not limited to: MS Office, SharePoint, Macromedia Captivate, Articulate, and Flash experience.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the creation of web-optimized and print-ready graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or other similar software.
  • Knowledge with the use of social media technologies in a corporate setting.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures.
  • Ability to engage Subject Matter Experts and translate concepts into terms and visuals appropriate for the target audience.
  • Certified or experienced with Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) design and production, considered a plus.
  • Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
