eLearning Courseware Writer
Full time independent contract with potential for full time employment.


Required Experience
5+ years' technical/business course writing
Experience interviewing subject matter experts (SME's) to capture concepts and processes
Experience creating new material from scratch and from existing media
Ability to adapt content to meet the needs of a particular target audience
Experience creating storyboards/outlines for training deliverables
Portfolio of writing samples

High levels of responsibility, ownership and initiative
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013/365
Knowledge of web-based content development and information mapping
Ability to select and apply appropriate instructional design principles, methodologies, and adult learning principles, in the design and development of all training materials.


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project manager, course developers, and artists in both initial design of a training program and throughout the course of the development for the training program.
Develop content outlines for e-learning or print modules and agendas.
Design and write instructional activities and elements for e-learning or print, including design documents and storyboards that include learning objectives, content to support these learning objectives, self-check questions, interactive learning exercises and final assessment items.
Peer review and edit work from freelance writers and instructional designers to ensure that it is instructionally sound.
Work with cross-functional teams to analyze information needs, develop documentation strategy to support those needs, create documentation.
Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor

Experience with eLearning Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, eLearning Development, varied Learning Management Systems (LMS) Articulate Storyline or similar . . . all would be a great bonus.
