I'm currently putting a course together, and i wanted to customise a button using a .png.
Instead of importing a seperate .png for every state (ex. hover, active etc), does anyone know how to add a colour filter to the .png without loosing the transparency?
I have done this recently if you use the tint functions in the picture tools menu it looks like it edits the alpha channel. However on previewing the slide it shouldn't simply display normally with a recolour on the graphic only leaving the transparency untouched.
Thanks Tim and Michael for replying back so quickly!
I found that once you select 'edit states', you right click on the .png, select 'format picture' and then change the settings for shadow and picture, you can achieve the colour that you want to change it to.
I found that if i only do the 'recolour' it fills the transparency.
Another tip if you haven't found it already is that once you get a png formatted the way you like you can select it and use format painter to apply the same formatting to your other pngs without having to manually change the color of each one.

I assume you are using Storyline. Have you tried the Recolor options on the Format tab?
