My company currently uses Mediasite with Articulate, Storyline and Camtasia. I admittedly know just enough to be dangerous about e-learning! We need to decide by Monday if we want to spend about $10,000 to upgrade - are there other tools out there like Mediasite? Is Mediasite necessary to use with Articulate and Storyline?
We have the Mediasite system also. How are you using it with Articulate, Storyline and Camtasia? Here we occassionally use Mediasite to record a very short video of someone and then convert the video file and put it into Articulate. We have also embedded a brief Mediasite presentation into an Articulate training module via Articulate's web object technique.
In my opinion, Mediasite is not necessary to use with Articulate and/or Storyline. If you have other ways of recording video that can be converted for use within Articulate and Storyline, then definately you wouldn't need Mediasite. Mediasite is a very different tool for use to record and share presentations.
