My L&D department have advised that they have bought the Articulate software to facilitate their elearning.

I would like to demonstrate to end users how to use an Applicant Tracking System. Which will essentially mean talking through various important elements of the system. What I have gleaned is that the Articulate software is more aligned to putting together power point slides in a fluent and more sophisticated way.  Will Articulate suit my needs because I am, in essence, simply recording how a particular piece of software is used, and I'm not sure how interesting I can make this either. I would love to be able to use Articulate to help with this as it looks really good…!

 Would be grateful for advice.

thanks

Hi Shen and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! As you've observed, Storyline allows anyone to create pretty much any type of e-learning project they can imagine, from a basic slide-based, linear course to a complex simulation.

I always recommend our Getting Started series for folks who are new to the software and need to hit the ground running. But from what you've described, it sounds like you'll be using Storyline's screen recording features for your first project. To help you get started quickly, here are a few more targeted tutorials.

You may also want to explore some how-tos for customizing the course player and publishing your project

And if you find yourself stumped by a question or just need a fresh pair of eyes to give you some feedback on your first project, don't hesitate to post your questions here. Folks in the E-Learning Heroes community are super-generous with their time and very supportive of one another!
