Publish Multi Module to CD/Web?

Dec 21, 2011

Hello,

I think this has been discussed before but things move fast and furious in the tech world so I would like to re-address this.

I have a course that has multiple modules.  Currently we host it on Moodle.  I would like to publish this and put it on CD.  There are about 9 Modules in total.  I would like a splash page that will automatically load when the CD is inserted.  This page should just have 'buttons' that link to each module of the course.  When somebody clicks a button labelled 'Module X', the published Module X should launch.  Once closed down, the splash page should still be there or re-appear.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to accomplish this or at least know what to ask for should I need to hire a freelancer?

Thanks for any help and diirection!

Dave

Hi Dave

This is relatively easy, you could publish all 9 modules for CD add them to individually named directories on the CD and then create a menu in Articulate hich links to all of the individual exe files, then add the published fle of this presentation (publish to CD) but add to the root of the CD directory so when you insert the CD the menu will autorun, if you close the opened module the menu will still be there

Hope this starts you in the right direction

Dam Phil......you make it all sound so easy!  All in one paragraph too......

Now the £10000000 question, where can I find somebody to do this for me?  Do you know any Freelancers (or are you free?...well, not free but do you do work on the side?)

Many thanks!  You always come up with good info mate.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Phil,

I'm trying to do the same thing and trying your suggestion. Can you give tips on how to set up the hyperlinks in the menu "presentation"? I chose "Existing File or Web Page" and then put the "foldername\Launch_Presentation.exe" (the foldername being the name of the subfolder on the CD where the published course is). That doesn't seem to be working. Could you provide more details?

Thanks!

Leslie
