Standing desk for 2 monitors? Mobile? Adjustable? Sturdy?

Jul 14, 2018

I know this is not an Articulate question per se but believe many here may have experience with this. I would like the option to work standing or sitting when spending my hours on articulate at home (and not hunched over). I also need the space to have 2 monitors and to have it be mobile to be able to change rooms or move the setup out of sight when needed. So does anyone know/use an adjustable, mobile standing desk that can fit 2 monitors - and very sturdy at maximum height of 42 or more inches? Thanks for your help!

I have an Updesk with casters so I can move it if I want. I have monitors mounted to the desk with Ergotron arms. They're really nice and flexible.

Prices have come down quite a bit on the desks over the past 2 years or so.

  • Costco has decent deals on their desks and they have a great return policy if you have issues. That's who I'd go with if I were to buy a new one.
  • Ikea has a decent deal on their stand desks.

I assume you can put casters on most of those desks if you need to wheel them around.

I also have a carriage under the desk to hold my PC so it lifts with the desk and I can swing it around to connect things.

Personally, I don't like those rise systems that you put on top of regular desks.
