Great question and good suggestions from David And Parker. You might also want to check out http://www.shutterstock.com/. They sell stock images, footage, and music. I've used them for years and their subscription pricing is pretty affordable, especially if you only need it on a project basis.
Another good resource I've used for footage and music is http://www.pond5.com/ - but I don't believe they offer subscriptions.

I think iStock do subscriptions and are one of the better sources of general photo/video/audio I have found - http://www.istockphoto.com/
I suppose it depends on what you need though as eLearning Brothers has a lot of content as well - http://elearningtemplates.com/
