Storyline Game?

I am trying to build courses that aren't boring tests but have themes and interactivity. This is challenging, but more challenging is when you hit the wall where you can't figure out a couple things and it keeps you from moving on. I am looking for people to look at the following course and help me figure out how to make things a little clearer. I am also looking for insight on how to fine tune my variables to make it so people earn points for following the directions and extra points for doing more like watching the tutorial videos. Anyone with ideas I am open to them.
