We're Hiring! French Community Manager

Apr 11, 2014

Hey wonderful community,

We've posted a job listing for a French Community Manager for Articulate:

http://articulate.theresumator.com/apply/Eyx6xS/French-Community-Manager

We're looking for someone who is located in France, or even just in Europe. If anyone has any leads, know of any potential candidates, or are interested in applying for this yourself, please post a comment or send me a message.

If you know any e-learning developers, Articulate software users, or anyone else from France or Europe with the skills you think we're looking for, please forward them the job posting. That is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Nicole

Hello Nicole,

My name is Carole, I have the same comment as Tina Marie, why does the person needs to be located in France or Europe. I live in Edmonton in Alberta and I am originally from Montreal. I am currently working on building some Articulate Storyline Project in French and English. I would like to know are you going to have an GUI in French. That is a show stopper for some buyer. Do you have any plan to build a Community in Canada?

Hi Carole,

Thank you for your comment, and for your interest!

Ideally the French community manager would be located in France (or Europe) for several reasons: 1) a key part of the role is to know and understand the intricacies of the French/European market and culture to help expand e-learning and Articulate into that market and 2) the role requires regular travel throughout France and Europe, so we'd rather have someone who lives there than have to send someone on overseas travel every week or two. That's not to say you can't apply, you certainly can, just be aware of what we need and are ideally looking for.

About the French GUI for Storyline: Great suggestion, and I think it would be a good feature to request

About building a community in Canada: Articulate does have a strong presence in the Canadian e-learning market and we have a nice Canadian following within the Articulate Community. Articulate also now has an in-house Canadian (me!) on their team to represent the Canucks and I'm working on bringing Articulate events to Canada (You can check out this forum discussion: Anyone interested in an Articulate event in Canada? and we're holding our first Canadian event in Toronto this summer). I'd love to hear any other ideas or suggestions you have for the Articulate community in Canada =)

Hello Nicole!

Well, I didn't knew that you were looking for me, here I am

I'm a language teacher in adult education and my great passion is about learning and new technologies.

As Ralf Baum says above, there is a big difference between the european and the american eLearning market and Europe is still far behind all these new technologies. That's why I think it is the right moment to position yourself in the market. There is still a lot of work that has to be done in order to familiarize Europe with technology based learning.

Let me know if the position is still available, it would be nice to be part of such a great community!

Hi there Nicole,

You might also want to try the Alliance Francaise (http://www.alliance-francaise.ca/) they will have some French connections in France.

You also might want to post this on a local Facebook group made up of French expats here in Toronto.

Hope that helps!
