I am creating a course for adults, and I cannot call them students or learners, what are some other words I could use to describe them?

Where do you need to "describe" them?
With some clever editing/scripting it is possible just to talk to them through the script - "you".
Well I had a quiz which I called "Learner Assessment" but I changed it to Knowledge Check and I was just instructed to calling them Participants in the storyboard.
