What's the biggest barrier to becoming an E-learning Hero
Mar 19, 2018
Hi everyone,
I manage the e-learning platform for my organization and I love doing it. One of the major reasons is that I'm one the biggest learners in the process. As I'm sure many of you do, I'm subscribed to tons of organizations, thought leaders and service providers offering new info about how to win in this market.
But how can I honestly absorb it all and execute all the ideas and plans?
My role is multifaceted as I work for small consulting firm with a national footprint. Managing the e-learning arm of the business is not my only function. I'm finding it very challenging to the dedicate the time I feel is necessary to first developing and then growing the business.
Am I alone is this? Do the e-learning heroes of today and tomorrow solely own that title or is a function/objective of the larger scope of their role? I just want to ensure I have realistic expectations of myself and what I can achieve.
Thanks for listening

Hi, Cayla: It seems you are asking about the different roles of elearning pros. Cutting edge elearning pros, no surprise, spend most of their days on elearning-related work. Seems to me that most elearning pros, however, wear a number of hats -- they might design instructor-led trainings, performance support materials, maybe help out with the LMS, as well as design and develop elearning.
It all depends on the organization's needs.
